Monday morning I went into the ER due to great pain and swelling on the left side of my face. The doctor diagnosed me with Facial Cellulitis. I was given a shot of antibiotics, plus pills for pain. Also, my blood pressure shot up to 214/105. It took 4hrs plus 5 blood pressure medications to bring my blood pressure below 200.
I never heard of this before and I wanted to share this with others who may be suffering with the same type of pain. It can become very serious if not treated right away. I started out waking up with sweat from fevers, then the pain and swelling started. I started taking over the counter pain pill and that did not work. As a matter of fact, the pills I am taking now, Tylenol with Codeine is not really working for me either, but it is certainly better than nothing at all.
